Texas trip!

A trip to the ranch is always good for the soul. We eat good food, good drinks, play, and.... Dallas isn't to far away so we can squeeze in a quick shopping trip every now and then! (which makes momma very happy) We drove into Dallas on Friday and stopped by a good friends house who took these SWEET pics of Harper. LOVE!! We shopped awhile and afterwards had dinner with the hubs. Grammy and I took a fun day-trip to a small town called muenster, its 30 minutes away from the ol' rancho. Its fun to say " we gotta go into town" i feel like an old fashioned southern lady. We went to a really neat market that specializes in making german food, we stalked up on some jalapeno and cheese summer sausage, pepper chedder cheese, and cranberry jack cheese. YUMMMO. we had a good ol' time. We got to see the whole fam for a day of church and lunch in falls town on sunday. They honored my Auntie Ann with a memorial of my grandmother...it was great to be there. Loved our long, family filled, fun weekend away and everyday we did something new! can't beat that.

we had fun in muenster town!

8 months!

Once again...this time rolls around FLYS BY! Harper is another month old...yes, thats correct. He's 8 months old today. He is still army crawling (as we like to call it). This is where he uses his forearms and drags himself all around the house. You might not think he could "army crawl" fast but in a second--He's gonnneee...baah byyyee. He is STILL waiting on his first tooth to arrive, I really thought it would be today for some reason. Everyone says their child has got a tooth by 8 months...I just thought it would be SO cool if he woke up with a TOOTH! I just can't wait to see his first one... I feel like a kid the night before christmas, except I never know when christmas (his tooth) is gonna come! He's sitting in all the high chairs at the restraunts..thats how I know he's a big boy...I used to think babies that were in high chairs were OLLLD. he's moving right along...before I know it he'll be catchhing the ball with his dad in the backyard, playing highschool football, being MVP of the razorback national championship team, making it to the NFL, running for president, and flying jet planes. Thats all.

Staying warm in the tub!

Harper's key to staying warm during -14 degree weather is to soak in the (mini) tub. He could stay in there for hours, turn into a prune and have ice cold water and still love it. He loves playing with the water when it comes out of the faucet.... he just can't quite figure out what water really is. He sees it...but then reaches out to grab it... and POOF his hand slids right through it! He loves all his bath toys too, he gets so excited and starts talking screeching at them...VERY LOUDLY, Its so funny. While he's busy learning and exploring all the wonders of taking a bath... I keep myself entertained by styling his hair with the best smelling baby shampoo (I just love that stuff :)), taking pictures, messaging family those pictures and calling for derek to bring me my real camera! My mother-in-law once said, she doesn't know who has more fun when harper takes a bath...him or me. And I'm pretty sure that would be a very close call!

sweet daddy LOVE

I love laying around snuggling with my daddy,
he's the best!!

When I'm worn out from playing all day, I can just lay on his chest...
its the most comfortable place in the world, i tell ya!

Mom always calls us two peas in a pod....i'm not sure what that means?
But I think she says it because people always say I look like my daddy.

I love my daddy!!

(and Mom)
