secret garden

As a child, I LOVED the movie Secret Garden. I always wanted to be that little girl who fell upon this amazing place that no one else knew about. So I was kinda suprised when we showed up at my bosses house last weekend to swim and we discoverd they have their own "secret garden." 

It's by far the prettiest place I've seen in a long time. Even in the middle of the super hot summer; everything is blooming and green. I've been there so

many times but never paid close attention to the landscaping, till now.

So glad we stumbled upon this magical place, I will be going back many times through out the year. Its the best place to take pictures, and I can't imagine what it will look like in the fall...so stay tuned!

Dog days of summer

 Warning: you may think this is a homeless dog campaign with their "sad puppy dog eyes" but dont let them fool you, they actually belong to us and our quiet happy

(we think). 

Leroy is our 9 year old black lab; He's the old man of the family.

Charlie is our 2 year old chocolate cocker spaniel; he's the bully of the family.

Harper is our sweet & spunky 1 year old and he's the baby of the family.

 Depending on which day you ask us, they may or may not be for sale...

except the babe of course, he's a keeper.



SwEeT SuMmER DaYs!!

If we go missing...don't panic; just look out in our backyard!

Chances are we will be there eating fresh watermelon, swimming in the baby pool,

running through the sprinkler, laughing, soaking up the rays, taking pictures,

and loving our sweet summer time!

Its definitely the easiest way to entertain the little ones and do some relaxing yourself;

its a win win situation. Everyone is Happy !



Thats little Erin holding Harper, we call her er-bear. She's my bosses daughter and pretty much a part of our family.
She comes over to play with Harper any chance she gets and we LOVE her.

BOYS just wanna have fun!

Friday we went to visit our buddy Jack for a LONG over due playdate & it was the first day I had my new camera!

Of course I had to snap a few pics of these precious boys.

They had a blast; both red faced and hot they never stopped playing.

Jack showed Harper how to play some golf and ride

 his bike that has no pedals. (crazy I know; I had never heard of that kind of bike either.) 

 Jack had more toys than they knew what to do with!

They are so fun 

at this age. Jack is 2 and Harper is 13 months 

These two look up to something...but boys will be boys and they just wanna have fun!

I finally got to see the pictures from Harper's

1st birthday thanks to his WONDERFUL

aunt Karey!! I don't know what I would've

done without her! I was soo busy that

day that I didn't even take a single picture. She definitely came to our rescue!!

Now that his first year has come and gone;

I can now print his first year memories in our blog book! I'm so excited to finally get it printed

and look back at our little nugget grow up.

Harper had a wonderful day and played his little heart out! He had several little buddies over and they

swam in his little monkey pool and ate yummy treats. Thanks to all of our family and friends who helped 

make his special day happen, we love ya'll so much!! 

For food we had:

fruit kabobs

chocolate and vanilla cupcakes

 monkey cake from ricks bakery

delicious turkey wraps from tropical smoothie

sliced watermelon

awesome monkey bread made by Christi Jenkins

and a banana split ice cream station outside





update on our busy 1 year old:

he's walking; almost running everywhere

eating everything we eat

His favorite foods are: green beans, macaroni & cheese, toast and jelly, pesto pasta, watermelon,

and gold fish

He has 4 teeth and counting...

he LOVES water and swimming

he's a great helper in the garden and yard

we still give him a bottle a couple times a day

and he's still taking 2 naps.

Life is good!
