SPRING HAS SpRUnG!

LOVIN. this. weather. for. sure.  Grammy came to visit us this past weekend and we did nothing but RELAX. It was a much needed chilled-out-weekend. We worked in our yard and garden some but mostly stayed in and cooked Delicious meals! We had the best shrimp manale, steamed broccoli with cheese sauce, french bread and banana pudding for dessert. We had California sushi rolls for an appetizer with marinated olives and green grapes. Hungry yet?! She REALLY knows the way to our hearts. WE are avid sushi fans and love home cooked meals especially with banana pudding. Derek and I got to sneek off a few times while grammy babysat her little harper. We had a sushi date at Thai Diner friday night and the BEST Daytime date on Sunday. Believe it or not...... we had sushi! I guess we're just obsessed. We sat outside on the patio at Wasabi and soaked up the sunshine...it was a great day. GRammy really knows how to spoil us.... she also made a homemade roast with potatoes and carrots in the crock pot for Sunday night dinner. It was the most relaxing, yummy weekend we've had in a while. I'm still full!

 Grammy's Shrimp Manale:

All you'll need:

1/2 cup butter
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
freshly ground black pepper
8 to 10 unpeeled, fresh jumbo shrimp
lemon juice

Melt butter in a saucepan. Add Worcestershire sauce and plenty of pepper. Allow sauce to cool. Rinse shrimp lightly but do not dry. Place in baking dish. Pour sauce over shrimp, sprinkle lemon juice, if desired, and place in 400 degree oven for 20 minutes. Turn shrimp. Broil 3 minutes. Serve hot in a bowl with the juices, accompanied by French bread to "sop up" the sauce. Serves 2. Double this recipe to make a family size!

ENjoy!!
