Good-Bye 2010, We will never forget you!

2010 will officially end tonight at mid-night. I (for the first time) am sad to see a year go by. We have had the most amazing, joyful, sometimes sad, crazy, happy, beautiful year! We have truly, truly been blessed and are so grateful for everything we have. This year started off we a big bang.... OUR WEDDING! Derek & I got married on January 30, 2010 in Springdale at the United Methodist Church. I honestly didn't think I would make it to walk down the aisle, I thought I would die from a heart attack from all the stress of that weekend. It was the biggest snow storm of the winter, and it just so happened to land smack dab in the middle of our big day!!! Come to find out, what I thought was a disaster turned out to be the most magical event ever. We had all of our family and friends (that could make it) there with us and had a beautiful reception at the Pratt Place Inn. You can find our wedding in the January, 2011 issue of cityscape's!! With such unique snow pictures we got lucky enough to be one of the featured weddings. 



Fast forward several months later....

 June 12, 2010 arrives! Harper Cain Deaton is brought into this world! He came one day after his due date...not to bad! That day was BY FAR the best day of my life. It was a Saturday; I woke up at 1:30 that morning with small contractions....i just knew he was coming! The whole family had made it there when he finally made his appearance at 7:14 P.M. He was an absolute miracle!! That night after everyone finally left, we all three cuddled in the hospital bed and couldn't believe how much love was in the room. It completely took over!

With Harper in our lives, every little thing we do is so much more fun and joyous. We love to watch him laugh and play and really feel blessed for him in our lives. He is almost 7 months old and it is breaking my heart knowing how fast he will grow up. At night, when I'm giving him his bottle I hold on to him so tight and Pray he will always let me hold him. I don't think he needs me as much as I need him. He's my everything.

So tonight; although I will be saddened to see 2010 go, I will celebrate the best and most magical time of our lives and feel so blessed. We will say good-bye 2010 and HELLO 2011, hope its just as amazing!

Christmas with Grammy!!

Since we couldn't go to grammy for christmas, grammy came to us! We have had to much fun with dinners, shopping, playing with harper, and more shopping!! We have been SO busy that I haven't had much time to do anything else. We've enjoyed having grammy come visit, i always hate when she has to go...it never feels long enough! Our week has flown by!!

Monday night- Derek cooked a fabulous taco dinner to welcome grammy, of course with a taco dinner we had to have homemade margs! DELISH!

Tuesday- had a late lunch at noodles with mom and harper. Afterwards we did some major damage at target! Harper was such a trooper all day!

Wednesday- more shopping, didn't even stop for lunch! Had such a fun dinner at mojitos with mom, harper and our family friend "aunt Jeanine." That night we had our very own little christmas eve, eve, eve...we each opened our stockings and a few presents followed by charlie brown christmas!

Life is good!!

1/2 a YEAR old!

Harper is now 6 months old! Where does time go?!

 Life has been

amazing and there is never a dull moment!  

Harper is a very active little guy now days!

He loves to grab anything, slobber on it and try to eat it. 

We call him our pterodactyl-- he squeals so loud and makes the funniest

noises.

He loves bouncing in his baby Einstein exasaucer .

He's extremely ticklish...especially his thighs! he goes crazy when you get them.

He doesn't play in one spot for long...then he's on to the next thing. Which keeps mom and dad busy!

He doesn't care anything about baby food, he's a picky eater like his daddy was...we're gonna have problems with that!

 He can sit up by himself but still a little wobbly and falls over every now and then.

He is teething like crazy, but we haven't seen any teeth!

He takes about 3 good naps a day and wakes up about 5:30 or 6 every morning....which means i wake up that early too!

He likes me to hold him and rock him to sleep on my chest, I've been singing to him...even though i can't sing! sometimes I hum

He has the best little personality and every day gets better and better!! He's so much fun and always makes my day

Walking in a winter wonderland!

It is by far the MOST wonderful time of the year.... and the Prettiest!

We took harper downtown to show him fayetteville's winter wonderland...

our bellies full after dinner and were ready  for some holiday

spirit!

Only 2 more weeks till harpers first christmas!! I wish I could

make time stand still...he is 6 months old and

time keeps going faster and faster. We are LOVING every single

minute of it though! We won't let time get by to fast!

Today was our first ever picture day at work and little harper man got to be involved. We stopped by to take our pic before we went to nanny's. He had such a fun time...he helped everyone smile a little bigger! The guys at work had a little "blades landscaping" onesie made just for him. He's our cute little mascot!

Bath time for Bonzo!

No...we didn't change harper's name to Bonzo but that's what we call him when it's bath time! It all started when I was growing up; my mom would always tuck me in at night and say Bedtime for Bonzo...I HATED IT. Now that i'm a mom i do the same thing to harper...but NOW i think its pretty funny. (Poor guy). Here are a few of my favorite pictures of Bonzo during bathtime! :)
