daddy's little helper

Yesterday after work, Derek and I decided to plant some more fall mums.

(they're my favorite, but I can't keep them alive!)

Of course we had to have our little helper...he watched so closely to what daddy was doing! He loved playing in the dirt and running

all around the front yard.

His favorite thing to do is to pull up the individual stake lights in the flower bed...not our most favorite thing though! He also loves to run up to the

front door and put his nose to the glass to see what his pups are doing

inside.

Once we got the mums planted he ran around for awhile and

picked up all the pumpkins on the porch...then it was time to go in! He had

a blast helping daddy garden!

Visit to the Ranch!

The weekend before last, Harper and I took a trip to the ranch to see Grammy and meet baby Cullum. Baby Cullum's  mom and I were best friends growing up and she's been more of a sister than a friend. It was so good to see her and her little man. He was so sweet and so little, I forget harper once started off that small. We had a great time, harper wanted to stay outside the entire time and help grammy feed the cows! He would make a great ranch hand.


Every morning we would wake up and go outside in our pjs, jump in the ranger and take off to feed the cows and horses. We both love being outside and helping grammy. Harper would sit in Grammys lap and help drive, although he wanted to do all the driving by himself! he would take grammys hand off the wheel and hold it so she couldn't put it back on there....it was hilarous.

I almost forgot that we went to visit Val, grammys neighbor that lives down the road. She has a chicken house that we visited and Harper even got to pick some fresh eggs. I had never been in a chicken house before (that tells you how country I am). Harper ran around Vals house and loved exploring the country side.

He Had the best time...you could tell by his clothes. He was covered in dirt every day! I would literally have to drag him inside... he will love to go visit grammy when he's older. He may even take his bath in the horse trough!
